They did in the store, but there's no guarantee with different lots that they will either. It's a good point that if we use the basketweave and the wall tile, to make sure they whites in it match. In the new layout, we're stealing space from another room to make it 37.5 square feet. The room currently is actually even smaller and laid out in a terrible plan - at just 29 square feet. Although this room is small, it will be fairly brightly lit, which hopefully will make it appear larger. And we considered using it on the wall, but thought it might actually make the room look smaller because of the design. And since he's in charge of bathrooms being kept clean, I do need to take his input into consideration. The basketweave tile could be used throughout the floor and even the wall, but my boyfriend wants a larger tile (with less grout) to be around the sink and toilet area, to make that easier to keep clean looking. I don't know if the tilesetter would want to cut the gray tile into smaller pieces it it would otherwise be suitable for the shower. The larger gray tile isn't recommended for use in the shower pan area, and it doesn't come in a smaller size (which may be the reason it's not recommended for the shower pan). We had considered using either the basketweave or the the larger format gray tile throughout the floor. LOL! (I also have the decorator white on my powder room walls, and very good lighting, but the charcoal tile continues from the floor all the way up the back wall of the powder room.) I originally had a darker taupe color on the walls, and when hubby installed this tile floor I was like "yeah, now we NEED to change the color on the walls," because it did feel cave like. Now, I do have a lot of natural light in my foyer and my tall walls are painted BM's decorator white, so the dark floors do not feel like they are sucking light out of the room. ![]() Even in my powder room, where people let the water drip onto the floor when they go to dry their hands off, it's just not a problem at all. I suspect if we had light hairs animals that shed a lot I would likely hate this floor, but that'll never be a problem in our home. ![]() did I mention I have three teen boys who should know better?) but everything else just kind of blends in. Honestly, I'm usually a bit surprised at how much dust is on the floor when I get around to sweeping it because it never usually looks dirty. I have a busy household with 5 kids (aged 16-20, all still living at home, and still homeschooling the 3 youngest boys) but no pets, due to oldest daughters extreme allergies. I have a charcoal colored porcelain tile floor (looks like stone, has some texture to it but no streaks of other colors, a matte sheen to the tile) in my very large foyer and down a hallway, and in my powder room and I LOVE IT! I have matching Charcoal colored grout well.
